5 Ways to Help Improve Your Cash Flow

Improve Your Cash Flow With SAP Business One
With small businesses experiencing difficult trading over the past 12 months and organisations expecting the same in 2012, many SMEs are looking for ways to increase their available capital.
Can you quickly identify where your business can increase profits, reduce expenses and otherwise generate cash flow?
If the answer is no, then you are not alone, many small business owners that we speak to struggle to answer that question when it’s posed to them. However those already benefiting from SAP Business One are able to quickly identify at least 5 ways in which they can improve cash flow.
So let’s take a look at some of the areas where cash flow can be improved-
1) Targeted Sales- Evaluate your sales activities to eliminate ineffective marketing campaigns, identify loyal customers, and highlight which customer demographic have the most potential for future growth. You can then tailor your sales and marketing activities accordingly.
2) Stock Control- Identify financial waste as a result of ineffective stock control, then adopt a strategy for more just in time production, choose more suitable warehousing options or eliminate products from your portfolio that are not selling well.
3) Suppliers- Review purchasing decisions and your supplier relationships to evaluate potential areas for savings such as renegotiating terms of sale, working with alternate suppliers, or lowering the quantities associated with minimum requirements.
4) Employee Time- Eliminate time spent in internal meetings by ensuring key business data is readily available to the relevant employees as and when required, even when they are not in the office. 2012 is the year in which experts believe Business Mobility will play a significant role in the B2B environment and SAP has incorporated this functionality within the Business One solution.
5) Employee Resources- Identify areas in which operation expenses could be reduced, either by eliminating overtime or more clearly defining the roles of key staff members.
The areas discussed above are of course just some starting points. SAP Business One also enables businesses to reduce IT cost, both by using a single system to access all business data and through the ease of expanding systems as your business needs evolve.
SAP Business One gives your small business a competitive edge by making it possible to access all of the same data as the bigger players in your industry. Whether you’re looking for simple solutions that allow you to increase cash flow quickly or you hope to identify areas where significant changes could greatly improve your company’s bottom line, SAP Business One offers the options you need.

Good post. I would highlight your second point as one of the key areas where cost savings can be made, we had a terrible method in managing our stock, but after updating our business management software are now affectively running a JIT methodology.
